Schedule, Pay & Benefits
Why This Role
You'll be working for a team with years of experience building and maintaining a world-class Nordic venue, people who rely on each other, teach each other the technical craft of snowmaking and grooming, and take pride in what they build together. Your manager and crew have spent years developing the know-how behind this 31-kilometer trail system, and they're looking for someone eager to learn it hands-on, not from a manual. The payoff is tangible: finish a shift, throw on skis or snowshoes, ride the terrain you helped create, or bring your own friends and family down the tubing hill you groomed that morning.

Must-Haves:
Nice-to-Haves:
Day in the Life
Your day starts before sunrise, checking weather data and equipment before the temperature window closes. You'll move snow guns, hoses, and pumps into position, then run a groomer to shape trail surface for that day's skiers, racers, or events. Between tasks, you're walking trail sections, checking for hazards or drainage issues, and radioing updates to your crew. Some nights you're running snowmaking equipment under the lights until conditions shift. Every shift ends with something visible: a groomed trail, a ready tubing lane, a base built one layer closer to race-ready.
About You at Soldier Hollow
You'd rather learn a skill by doing it than reading about it, from running a Piston Bully to troubleshooting a snow gun in the cold, getting better each week (Grit). You take pride in doing the job right, because athletes and visitors are counting on the same trail (Excellence). You lead and follow well, because when everyone pulls their weight the work becomes easier (Collaboration). And you know the tubing hill you groomed this morning is where a family from Heber Valley makes a memory this weekend (Community, Impact). If that sounds like you, you belong on this crew.
