VIP Lounge Venue & Event Coordinator

Kimball Art Center seeks a driven, personable, detail-oriented, and solution-oriented VIP Lounge Venue &
Event Coordinator for the 2026 Kimball Arts Festival, August 7–9, 2026. Now in its 57th year, the Kimball
Arts Festival is one of the top-ranked art festivals in the country and a signature event in Park City. This
three-day, open-air celebration of the arts provides critical funding for Kimball Art Center’s year-round
exhibitions and educational programs.
Job Summary
The VIP Lounge Venue & Event Coordinator supports the planning and on-site execution of the VIP
Lounge and the overall experience for the VIP guests in the Lounge (located at the Kimball Terrace).
This role works closely with staff, community members, sponsors, and donors, providing key support to
the Development team. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Kimball Terrace staff, catering,
event rental partners and volunteers to ensure a positive and elevated guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
● Coordinate with Kimball Terrace and catering partner (Culinary Crafts) on layout, power, furniture,
and sustainability efforts (including recycling)
● Serve as the main liaison for venue staff, catering, and rentals
● Assist with VIP credential preparation and distribution pre-Festival
● Develop and manage VIP Lounge floor plan
● Support partner activations within the Lounge
● Manage day-of Lounge volunteers (approx. 10–12 per day)
● Provide on-site event management and problem-solving during Festival weekend
Commitment & Schedule
● Position runs approximately July 20 – August 10, 2026
● ~8 hours/week during weeks of July 20 and July 27
● ~38 hours during the week of August 3 including the Festival weekend
Qualifications
● Strong organizational, communication, and customer service/interpersonal skills
● Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
● Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (email, spreadsheets, etc.)
● Must be 18+ with reliable transportation
● Open to undergraduates and early-career professionals (academic credit optional)
● Photography skills a plus
Work Environment: This role includes both office-based work and on-site event responsibilities during the Festival
