Job Description:
We seek reliable and hardworking individuals to join the Park City Performing Arts team as Summer Concert on the Slopes Set-Up/Tear-Down Crew members at Canyons Village. Live events can be exciting but chaotic; anyone applying for this position should be flexible. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our summer concert series by handling the setup and teardown of chairs, tents, tables, and other temporary materials provided by Park City Performing Arts staff. It is critical to understand that these are long hours.
Responsibilities:
Unload and Set Up Equipment: Transport chairs to designated areas on the grassy concert grounds and set them up according to the provided layout. Set flags around the perimeter of the concert area. Arrange tables and tents as required for the event.
Assist with Venue Entry: Work with our volunteers and staff members to assist our patrons when entering the venue, which includes scanning tickets, assisting patrons with accessing seating, selling merchandise, bag/cooler checks, etc.
Physical Labor: This position requires physical exertion, including lifting and carrying chairs, tables, and other equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Be prepared to perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
Equipment Transport: Some team members may be asked to drive vehicles while towing trailers, including maneuvering, backing in, and parking trailers safely as part of event setup and teardown.
Teardown and Load-Out: After the concert, fold and stack chairs, flags, tables, and tents. Load equipment onto trailers or transport vehicles for storage.
Work Schedule: Commit to working confirmed dates for most dates listed below, with the season running from July 1st to September 9th. Availability for evening and weekend shifts is required, including late nights. Concert dates are as follows: July 10, 24, 25, 26, 31; August 1, 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 27, 28, 29. Additional work days will be added for season setup and takedown.
