The mission of the TAG Ranch & Foundation is to provide youth in Utah and beyond with a safe, educational, and life-enhancing environment where they can develop the skills needed to become confident, compassionate, and capable adults.

Role Overview
The Youth & Community Engagement Director oversees the coordination, growth, and storytelling of TAG’s youth and community programs. This role is responsible for the seamless planning and delivery of camps, family days, and volunteer engagement opportunities while ensuring alignment with TAG’s mission, values, and long-term vision.
Working closely with internal leadership and key collaborators, including the Equine/Program Director, Stef, and ML, the Executive Director to build meaningful community relationships, elevates program quality, and expands TAG’s impact across Utah and beyond. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership role ideal for a positive, outgoing, creative, organized, and mission-driven individual passionate about youth development and community connection.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Delivery
· Collaborate closely with the Equine/Program Director to design thoughtful, mission-aligned camp programming
· Plan, organize, and execute engaging daily activities within structured timeframes
· Teach meaningful life skills through hands-on, experiential learning
· Ensure all programming reflects TAG’s values and creates memorable, impactful experiences
Youth Leadership & Camper Experience
· Serve as a positive, consistent role model for campers always
· Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all children
· Recognize and respond to the individual needs, strengths, and challenges of each camper
· Ensure the safety, well-being, and emotional support of campers throughout all activities
Operations & Environment
· Maintain timeliness, organization, and preparedness for each camp day
· Adapt programming and logistics as needed in a fast-paced camp environment
· Assist with general ranch responsibilities, including animal care and upkeep
· Support smooth daily operations in an outdoor, ranch-based setting
Community & Growth
· Contribute creative, fresh ideas to enhance the camp and community experience each season
· Support family days, volunteer engagement, and special programming
· Help tell the story of TAG’s impact through thoughtful programming and community connection
· Build and strengthen relationships with families, volunteers, and community partners
Example Program Activities
Previous staple activities have included:
· Teaching and guiding painting, arts, metal stamping projects
· Leading fitness and wellness sessions, including goat and chicken yoga, boxing, and nature hikes
· Guiding campers through weekly personal goal setting and reflection, culminating in a meaningful branding ceremony
· Designing hands-on activities that foster confidence, teamwork, resilience, and self-expression
Qualifications
· Minimum three to four years’ experience working with children in a leadership, educational, or mentoring capacity
· Comfortable working with children ages 5–12
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Excellent time management and organizational abilities
· Creative thinker who enjoys designing meaningful, purpose-driven experiences
· Comfortable working in an outdoor, ranch-based environment
· Willingness to assist with animal care and general ranch responsibilities
· Flexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented
· Genuine passion for youth mentorship, community building, and child development
Compensation
This is a seasonal leadership position with competitive hourly compensation reflective of the Director-level responsibilities and hands-on program oversight. The compensation structure may be discussed and finalized based on the seasonal schedule, experience, and program needs.
There is an option for year-round growth into a full-time salaried leadership role based on performance, program expansion, and organizational needs.
