Staff Accountant

Surefoot, the world’s premier ski boot retailer, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. With 29 locations across North America and Europe, Surefoot combines a passion for skiing with operational excellence.

Our corporate headquarters are in Park City, Utah, with additional retail locations throughout the U.S., Canada, Switzerland, France, Norway, and Great Britain. Surefoot also owns and operates an athletic footwear and apparel company with retail locations in New York City and Southern California.

About the Position

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will work closely with multiple departments across the organization, including sales, technology, and operations. This role is responsible for core accounting functions and plays a key role in supporting month-end close and daily financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cash account reconciliations for multiple entities
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and reconcile related accounts
• Support month-end close activities
• Assist executive leadership with special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or currently pursuing) strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
• Excellent organizational, planning, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), data analysis, and reconciliation work)
