The Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, USU Extension, sparks curiosity about the natural world and inspires a connection to it. With 1,200 acres of breathtaking open space nestled amidst expanding development and a LEED Platinum museum with interactive exhibits about the surrounding environment, Swaner is a refuge for an abundance of wildlife.
We offer weekly nature tours, wildlife viewing opportunities, a broad range of youth programs from summer camps to field trips, a variety of walks, talks, and workshops for adults, and a gift shop with local and eco-friendly art. The Preserve holds nearly 10 miles of trails, 170 species of birds, and hosts a variety of conservation research projects. Visit the EcoCenter to learn more!
