Responsibilities The primary purpose of this role is to provide supervision for our clients and to ensure their safety while building a rapport with them. This includes providing assistance to each client during school and in handling individual problems; responsibility for setting of limits for behavior; creating documentation of the clients’ progress; identifying the possible need for professional services and communications of such findings to professional staff. Essential Art Therapist Responsibilities :   Develop and deliver a comprehensive 12-week therapeutic curriculum utilizing visual and expressive arts including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpting, and writing . Assess milieu needs and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed based on the needs of the resident and the core target group. Confer with other professionals on client's treatment team to develop, coordinate, or integrate interventions that will have the greatest benefit toward achieving clinical objectives for treatment. Medication administration. Obtain and document vital signs in the medical record. Evaluate medical complaints/concerns from residents during on-site hours and relay information to appropriate NP/MD. Complete treatment plans when indicated, provide direct care and nursing services to clients as prescribed by program regulations, and client health screening.
