Job Description

Model HOA is seeking a part-time HOA (Homeowners Association) Maintenance Technician to help oversee the maintenance and repair of common areas, buildings, and amenities within our communities. The ideal Maintenance Technician is a good problem solver, has excellent communication skills, and fine attention to detail. This team member will work closely with our Capital Projects Manager. 

PAY / BENEFITS:

  • $25/hour
  • Mileage reimbursement for miles driven from the office to a property for Model HOA ($0.655/mile).
  • 2 weeks (10 days) paid vacation. This is paid out at 4 hours/day and is accrued each pay period. Must be requested 30 days in advance.
  • 1 week (5 days) paid sick/ski days. This is paid out at 4 hours/day and is accrued each pay period.
  • 11 paid federal holidays: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Pioneer Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

JOB SCOPE:

  • Vendor Coordination: Work with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to coordinate repairs, installations, and maintenance services.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs for the community common areas and buildings.
  • Ticketing System: Intake owner maintenance issues in the online ticketing system, communicate and document status within the system.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to owners by addressing their maintenance requests and concerns promptly and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or trade school certification is a plus.
  • Experience as a maintenance technician or a similar role. Experience with HOAs is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and methods.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to remain calm during tense interactions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
