Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operational requirements of Hill's Kitchen Catering
  • Ensure all equipment, materials, and supplies are properly maintained for an organized operation of all events
  • Assist with creating and implementing SOP's, packing guides, and other collateral materials
  • Responsible for overseeing a memorable service to our guests in an efficient, professional, friendly and courteous manner
  • Responsible for ensuring that all set-up, breakdown and side-work items are complete
  • Responsible for clearing and resetting banquet function tables, while maintaining clean and organized workstations
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and co-workers
  • Assist with hiring and leading our on-call catering service team
  • Ensure that all equipment and supplies are organized, prepared, and transported to all events
  • Ensure the team properly cleans, organizes and stores all catering equipment and supplies
  • Effective communication with the event organizer/contact throughout the event
  • Oversee proper care of offsite venues, leaving the property better than we found it
  • Communication with Events and Catering Manager, with aligned vision, and all expectations for events are clear and prepared to properly execute
  • Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing beverages, and placing table centerpieces

Qualifications

  • Time management and ability to multitask
  • Ability to recognize guest dissatisfaction before it escalates - ensuring proper communication to management
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Positive attitude
  • Calm and collected under pressure
  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years banquet lead experience PREFERRED
  • LOCATION: Park City, UT - reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
  • Must have basic knowledge of catering and service procedures and functions
  • Possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate our POS system (Toast)
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations and procedures
  • Food Handlers and Beverage Service permits (REQUIRED)
  • Ability to carry 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Benefits

  • For Events: $12/hr + minimum $250/event worked (unless otherwise agreed to prior to event)
  • For Administrative Work: $20/hr
  • Pay: $35-$50/hr
