Job Description

We are looking for individuals dedicated to making a daily difference on the mountain through adaptive recreation in our ski and snowboard program in Park City, Utah. Instructors will facilitate safe and inclusive winter sports experiences to individuals, families, and groups in a fun and effective learning environment. Join our team of adaptive enthusiasts, train on the latest practices & equipment and empower individuals on the slopes this winter.

*Weekend, Holiday, and potential evening work required
Pay Scale:
· Hourly starting wage of $20
Location: Park City Mountain Village, Canyons Village, Deer Valley and other resort locations
Supervisor: Ski and Snowboard Program Manager

Core Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family and/or group instruction with varying levels of skills utilizing a variety      of techniques, strategies, and equipment.
  • Implement and supervise safety/risk management protocols in a caring and fun environment for      participants, volunteers, and staff
  • Ensure individuals are utilizing equipment appropriate to their needs in a safe      and effective manner.
  • Complete   pertinent paperwork and assessment forms after completion of lessons
  • Be a positive  representative and promoter of National Ability Center programs, events,      and activities in our community
  • Commit to  continuing education in your field utilizing internal and external resources      to ensure our programs sustain continual responsiveness and improvement
  • Communicate  clearly, honestly, and respectfully with all staff, participants, parents,      volunteers, management, and co-workers
  • Uphold and demonstrate National Ability Center core values
  • Other duties as  specified
  • Requirements
    Core Knowledge and Qualifications
    • Intermediate to advanced skiing/riding skills
    • Enjoyment of  working with people of all abilities and ages
    • Ability to deliver professional snow-sport instruction in a variety of conditions 
    • Outgoing nature and enthusiastic approach to daily assignments
    • Demonstrated history of responsibility, dependability, and maturity
    • Ability to demonstrate patience and provide concise, effective feedback
    • Complete required paperwork in timely manner
    • Ability to be flexible, creative, and adaptable to situations and assignments
    • The ability to take initiative in workspace to be solution oriented
    • Bilingual a  plus!
    • Ability to consistently lift, carry, and load equipment that weighs 50 plus pounds
