Christian Center of Park City (CCPC) - Who We Are:

CCPC is a Christian, humanitarian community resource center that helps improve the lives of people and communities through meeting immediate and basic needs, serving as a leading networker of community resources, offering counseling and care support, and giving hope to those we serve.

Focusing primarily on the population centers of Summit and Wasatch counties, CCPC serves all people, regardless of race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, ethnicity or gender. We require no membership, dues, or compliance with our faith traditions to be served by our programs and resources.

We are a 501c(3), nonprofit organization that partners with other nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, churches, interfaith councils and individuals in order to meet the needs of our community.

The Food Pantry Associate role is responsible for delivery pick-ups and serving as a front-line customer service contact for the Park City Food Pantry at the Christian Center of Park City (CCPC). Additionally, supporting the Park City Food Pantry Manager and their teammates in reaching collective goals aimed to serve our community at their point of need.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pick up grocery rescue from multiple grocery stores, restaurants, and other businesses while maintaining food safety protocols and best practices.
  • Manage daily activity of the food pantry, including general customer service, food distribution, grocery rescue pick-ups, customer registration/intake while maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the pantry.
  • Be willing and able to work closely with volunteers and staff in a team-based environment, training and following up with volunteers as appropriate.
  • Operate point of sale system with accuracy and precision.
  • Maintain and follow CCPC’s guidelines for financial integrity and accountability regarding sales transactions, cash handling, deposits and donations.
  • Maintain an overall professional appearance and atmosphere that aligns with that of CCPC.
  • Work collaboratively alongside and in conjunction with the Food Pantry Manager to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the pantry.
  • Assist the Director of Programs and Food Pantry Manager in any other areas when necessary.

  • Passionately live out the vision and values of the Christian Center of Park City through this role and cast that vision to your team, volunteers, and clients of the Center and to the general public.
  • Foster a positive attitude toward change, accepting change with grace and excitement. 
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters. 
  • Arrive on time and manage time efficiently so that pick-ups meet the expectations of business managers.
  • Ability to safely drive a medium sized box truck.
  • Ability to frequently lift 40-50 lbs. in a safe manner
  • Schedule - Weekday mornings 7:30am - 11am.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-task environment and maintain a positive attitude in the midst of change. 
  • Strong relational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Safe driving
  • Current Food Handlers Permit
