Job Description

Summit Sotheby’s International Realty Property Management is a fast-paced, innovative property management company specializing in residential property management for properties located throughout Summit, Wasatch, and Salt Lake Counties.

Position Description:

We are seeking an in-house Maintenance Technician to support our growing Maintenance Team and Property Management Division. This person must have mid-level handy-man skills and be able to effectively perform an assortment of maintenance repairs, trouble-shooting, and other requested tasks or errands. Skills and knowledge should include basic plumbing and electrical repairs, garage door troubleshooting, high-quality finish carpentry, quality drywall patching, texturing, and painting, as well as minor exterior repairs to fences, siding, gutters, driveways, and stairs. Common home maintenance tasks such as changing filters, replacing light bulbs, replacing batteries, water main turn-offs, etc.

At times, this person may be the first person on-site to assess a situation or temporarily resolve an issue until a more skilled professional can address the problem.

The schedule will include a full-time day shift with the flexibility to address after-hour maintenance emergency calls on weekends and as emergencies arise. This person will be required to share after-hours phone responsibility with our Maintenance Administrator and be willing to respond to after-hour emergencies promptly. Work schedules may be adjusted to meet demand and personal availability.


You must work well with others, be a productive team member, and take ownership of your responsibilities. Taking care of client needs is a top priority and doing so in a punctual, professional manner (in both appearance and conduct) comes naturally to you. You are a reliable team player who communicates effectively and has great follow-up skills. You are organized, very detail-oriented, and able to properly manage your time to meet expectations while juggling multiple projects at once. You are a highly motivated self-starter that is interested in learning new things while also being a resourceful problem solver that can work independently.


Background in property maintenance or construction is required. References for related work experience will be investigated.

Must have a reliable mode of transportation to get to and from the office, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Must have your own tools.

Must be able to perform heavy lifting and other strenuous work. Work may be indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Must be flexible to work in Summit, Wasatch, and Salt Lake Counties. A company vehicle is available to be driven from the office location to the job site.
