Job Description

Monterey Technologies (MTI), an established defense contractor in Park City, UT has an opening for someone experienced reading, summarizing, organizing, and detailing contracts.  You will run our contract management system and engage with Government Contracting Officers to get the details of our contracts right.  As MTI’s Contracts Assistant, you will report to our Contracts Manager and have daily interaction with the CEO.  You need to be detail-oriented and have experience with commercial agreements and contracts.

 

  • Must have a background reviewing contracts
  • Must have experience researching federal laws and/or regulations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist our Contracts Manager in resolving issues for finance, project, and business teams

Role model Compliance First culture

Maintains contract summary briefs

Write contract modifications and improvements

Organize and process correspondence with customers’ and suppliers’ contract teams

Active participant in proposal team

Attention to detail

Interest in researching US Government laws, regulations, and policies

Intellectually curious

Excellent written communication skills

Critical thinker with ability to find answers

Working proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

 

 

Qualifications

2+ years experience reviewing commercial contracts

2+ years experience researching federal law, regulations, and policies

Must be a US citizen or permanent resident (green card) due to security requirements

Ideal candidate will have exposure to GovCon or have worked at a law firm doing contracts

Compensation

$45-95k plus bonus, depending on experience

7% 401k contribution
