Job Summary CFO

The CFO will have direct responsibility for the finance and accounting function of our manufacturing services businesses, requiring an ability to work with a lean team and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The CFO will produce operating and financial reporting to generate actionable insights, lead monthly and annual budgeting process and produce detailed reports for all three business entities. Our ideal candidate will have exposure to managing cash, modeling and tracking working capital, performing cost analysis, and support all aspects of the business in an evolving manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities


  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for all operating entities including quantitative and qualitative data to inform leadership and others about financial results and suggest operational activities where appropriate
  • Prepare and review analyses of monthly/quarterly reporting packages; identify variances and/or discrepancies between budget, forecast and actual, creating customized reports from SQL and Microsoft Excel
  • Manage the cost accounting function, including setting standards and the analysis of manufacturing variances and the appropriate accounting treatment(s)
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain cash management, tax and hedging strategies and policies, providing facility oversight, compliance monitoring and reporting


  • Perform majority of accounting functions for multiple companies and stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Provide information to the outside CPAs in support of the annual audit process, annual tax filing, and filing quarterly sales tax returns and make payments if required
  • Assist with/supervise the billing and collection process, our payroll function, including sales commissions for company sales force

Inventory Management

  • Oversight of cost accounting and inventory management, monitoring costs of new product groups so they can be priced effectively for customers and keep costs up to date
  • Manage leather inventory process, reconcile leather invoices vs. agreed pricing weekly, entering POs into the system, confirming pricing, auditing inventory and making corrections
  • Work closely with the sales and operations teams to connect sales, inventory, and operating planning, analyze inventory, product fulfillment and replenishment, SKU profitability and other financial aspects of the sales and production processes


  • Manage the international purchasing of component parts from Asia. Including but not limited to daily/weekly tracking, managing supplier relations, and reorder analysis.
  • Supervise and coordinate the reporting of inventory levels, component usage, and reorder points.
  • Maintain and validate all product files and their related purchasing components.


Human Resources

  • Coordinate with leadership, maintaining accurate retirement plan records and complying with applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage 401K Administration, Medical and Dental Benefits and Insurance for employees


  • 5+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector
  • Prefer experience in a variety of manufacturing environments, such as standard and job costing, manufacturing variance analysis, and information and process flow
  • Strong financial modeling experience and solid understanding of financial statements; high level of proficiency with Excel and various accounting software - experience with Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, and SQL is a plus!
  • Proven experience building budgets, EBITDA forecasts, and cash forecasts to guide and support executive management decision making
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with US GAAP and financial reporting in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong people and process management skills
