Harvest Midway Café & Bakery is growing, and we’re searching for a Restaurant Manager to help lead our newly expanded team. This role is perfect for someone who understands that true hospitality goes beyond service — it’s about connection, care, and creating an experience that makes people feel genuinely welcome. As Restaurant Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the culture and operations of our café and bakery. You’ll lead by example, develop a guest-focused team, and use data-driven insights to keep everything running smoothly — from scheduling and purchasing to inventory and sales performance.This is a chance to be part of a passionate, collaborative team while also having the freedom to bring your own ideas, leadership style, and energy to the role.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a guest-focused front-of-house team.• Foster a culture of true hospitality, ensuring every guest feels seen and valued.• Oversee daily operations with a balance of professionalism, warmth, and fun.• Use data to manage scheduling, stock control, purchasing, and performance tracking.• Work closely with the kitchen and bakery teams to ensure smooth, efficient service and communication.• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and operational excellence.• Contribute ideas for menu development, guest experience improvements, and overall café growth.• Bring a solutions-focused mindset — noticing what needs to be done and taking initiative to do it.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in restaurant or café management (minimum 2 years preferred).• Strong understanding of both hospitality and service — and the difference between them.• Demonstrated ability to train, develop, and retain a positive, high-performing team.• Competence in scheduling, cost control, inventory, and purchasing systems.• Confidence using POS systems (experience with Square preferred).• A collaborative leader who thrives working alongside others but can also work independently.• Someone who isn’t afraid to take risks, make mistakes, and learn in the process.• Professional, organised, and detail-oriented — yet brings fun and joy to the workplace.• Passionate about great food, community, and leading by example.
