About The Paint Mixer:

The Paint Mixer is Utah’s favorite local provider of creative adventures! We host public classes, private events, virtual parties and more at venues across Utah. Originally founded as a paint and sip studio, we have expanded our offerings to include a variety of creative events for our guests to enjoy. If you love instructing others and spreading creative joy, you may be the perfect fit for our team!


  • Teach, host and facilitate both public and private events at various locations in Wasatch Front and Summit County.
  • Clear communication and relatable teaching skills to relay instructions to guests so they can create their own masterpiece in under two hours.
  • Time management - work with guests to answer questions, while maintaining pace of instruction, music and festive environment.
  • Professional demeanor and presence to easily connect and teach corporate clients and private events. These events often require a more personal approach, and can be longer in length due to presentations and socials, and must be able to “go with the flow”, be agile and responsive.
  • Pick up and return supplies to and/or from venues and our storage locker/warehouse.
  • Clean and re-organize to maintain the condition of supplies and equipment
  • Engage guests using photos and social media.
  • Occasionally work with other artists as a host or lead artist for larger events that need support.
  • Consistent weekly averages above 8 hours.
  • 90-day average of 8.5+ * Be available for up to 3 - 5 shifts per week, including weekends.
  • Be scheduled for a minimum of 4-6 hours per event (including prep time).


  • Adaptable and adjustable personality - art happens and paint happens. You must be someone who is able to adjust to last minute changes, guest requests and venue demands. Go with the flow personality, with a bit of getting your hands dirty.
  • Reliable transportation - a car is a must. You will be responsible for transporting all the supplies needed for your events to and from our staging locations in Summit County and Salt Lake City.
  • A little bit of creative crossfit - Setting up and cleaning up events involves physical tasks, so you must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. You may need to reorganize an event space, such as tables and chairs. You will also be required to stand/walk/dance for at least 4 hours. This also includes transporting supplies to and from events.
  • Skilled and/or proficient artist - Acrylic is most used, but as long as you are skilled with a medium, you can adjust.


  • Communication and performance skills are a must - Fun, funny, confident, sassy and social. Ability to simplify and explain steps for completing art and other projects.
  • Public speaking skills - able to speak to a crowd of 10 to 100 with confidence and pazazz.
  • Finishing the job - Ability to work the expected duration of the creative adventure from start to finish.
  • Comfort working with all ages - 6 years to 111 years.
  • Ability to pass a criminal check.

Mileage reimbursement

$20 for prep and other creative administrative duties
